What do you get out of it?
By helping us sell our audio tours through your site noambit will pay you 30% of each sale you make. All you have to do is choose the tours you would like to sell from the links to the left (Take ‘em all if you want), sign up as a noambit affiliate (its free) then use the personalized link provided to you on your site somewhere (couldn’t be simpler). Every time a customer buys a tour through the link on your website we’ll pay you 30% of the total sale at the end of the month.
What do you mean “sign-up” as a noambit affiliate?
Couldn’t be easier. Just click on the “Click to Sign-up as an Affiliate” button there on the left. You’ll be directed to payloadz.com where we house our tours. They’ll ask for your email and have you create a password. Verify your email address and log back into payloadz. From there you can either search for our products, using “noambit” or the tours name or better yet, just come on back to this affiliate page and click the tours you want. With your new account activated, you’ll be able to generate your personalized links.
Where do you put the links?
How and where you place the links / download buttons on your site is up to you. Send us an email and we’ll send you all the tour info you need to build a page devoted to each tour or simply stick the link in your side bar or maybe even in an article. You know your customers and website better than anyone so just have fun with it and see what works.
Why do people like noambit tours?
Surveys of our customers and the sheer number of sales we make tell us that we’re doing something right. Our tours are produced by the editors of noambit.com, not some stuffy actor hired to read a script, but real travelers who visit and research each location. Noambit’s tours are fun, and best of all just about the most inexpensive tours out there. We also strive to offer tours of locations that don’t tend to be covered by other audio tour companies. Our Alhambra tour for example is the only downloadable audio tour of the historical site anywhere….as far as we can tell. Ohh yeah, don’t get us wrong, we think accents can be sexy but on an audio guide it just makes for a difficult time understanding the narrator. We’re from Southern California and Central Florida USA, if you understand English you’ll understand everything we say.
Why would any one choose an audio tour over a real life tour guide?
That’s a great question, thanks for asking. Simply put…price and convenience! A hired tour guide can cost upwards of 25-100 dollars / per person where as our tours will cost the customer around 7 or 8 dollars and can be put on multiple MP3 Players (but shhhh, don’t advertise that). In addition, where following a hired guide around town forces you to go at their pace and finish a tour even if you’re tired and hungry, noambit’s audio guides let you start and stop the tour when you want. You can see just the things you want to see, sleep the hangover off ’till 3 before starting the tour or spread the tour over several days.
How often will you get paid?
I’m betting you skipped over the other topics straight to this one! I would. We’ll pay you once a month via paypal. Yeah, you’ll have to set up a paypal account but that’s easy and free. At the end of the month we’ll tally up each sale that was made through your site and pay you 30% of each one in one lump sum. You see, everytime a sale comes in from your site, I’ll get an email telling me which affiliate needs to be paid and at the end of the month I’ll have a spread sheet of all sales for each affiliate.
How do my customers pay for the tour?
When a customer clicks on the link you’ve placed on your site, whether that be a simple text link or a download now button, they’ll be redirected to paypal.com. This safe and secure payment site will allow them to pay using almost any method they choose. Visa, Mastercard, paypal account, even American Express (you can’t use that a card hardly anywhere).
What will the customer get?
Your customers will receive an email from noambit immediately after making a payment which includes a download link. By simply clicking the link they will download a file with all of the MP3 tracks and PDF map straight to their computer. From there they just need to drag the MP3 files to their MP3 player, print the map and head off to Europe. They can listen to the tour as much as they want and print the map as often as they like. They bought it, they own it.
Will the tours work on any listening device?
“Listening device?” That sounds like what my great grandmother might call an ipod. But, yes, the tours will work on any doohickey that plays MP3s…Ipod, Iphone, Zune, SanDisk, Sony…you name it, it works. Now-a-days everyone has one of these players on vacation…how else do you sleep through the screaming babies on the plane ride over?
Are we making more tours?
All the time! Currently we have 7 tours; The Alhambra, Sachsenhausen, Essential Florence, Florence Beyond the Guidebook, Prague’s Old Town Square, Essential Lisbon and the Euphrasian Basilica. In the works are tours of Munich, Germany, Pula, Croatia and Pompeii to name a few.
Why would we pay you to do almost nothing?
Quite simply, the the audio tour industry…industry is probably not the right word…is just starting to catch on beyond the tech savy travelers. As more and more people start traveling with gadgets like MP3 players and cell phones, sales will only increase (we hope). Spreading the word about our product is the best way, we believe to encourage people to travel and travel economically. The more visibility our product gets the better for everyone. So, its not really doing nothing. Sure you’ll have to simply post a link and then do nothing accept wait for your money…but you’ll also be doing your part to spread the word about noambit’s audio guides, encourage people to travel, help travelers save money, give people a means to vacation at their own pace and in a small way not only save the economy but possibly the world.
